Spent the night at Fred and Lynette Roster’s, along with Mo Sato, my sculpture mentor. They have lovely views…

James Kuroda’s paintings are at the First Hawaiian Bank Main Branch until Oct. Some of his best work, I think.

At the Broad Museum, Los Angeles.

Dustin and Takako played in front of Murakami Takashi’s art on the 3rd floor.

Great venue, great crowd, great performance.

Just one of the Ponytail members were missing.

From left to right: Willie, Dustin, Ken. The absent Jeremy drums for Animal Collective and is on tour somewhere.

And just a few blocks away from this bucolic scene, Skid Row — which feels like a semi-permanent tent city — and the gentrification of Downtown.
