Shadowed

Posted on 05.12.21 under Uncategorized

Phantoms in the night haunt my sleep
Hiding in my mind shadowed and deep
Kiss the bittersweet frost from your smile
Drown in memories I drink to survive

Phantoms in my sleep
Shadowed and so deep

Screaming as the drama gets intense
Cry through the trauma of a sad romance
Searching for my missing common sense
I watch myself wreck my last chance

Phantoms in my sleep
Shadowed and so deep

Wasting away I hunger for your touch
Playing the fool so it doesn’t hurt as much
Turn back the clock to the place we used to be
Only to find it wasn’t reality

Caged

Posted on 04.12.21 under Uncategorized

We live in conflicted times with unrealized motivations.

He packed his bags and left the street
Powered by his hands and feet
Pounding his chest said I can’t be beat
Feed me, I need to eat

Step into the cage
I’m not afraid
My life’s on the line
I need to get paid on time

She stole his cash wounded his pride
The media lens magnifies
Dr Jekyll and Mrs. Hyde
Naked raw emotion intensified

Step into the ring
Your shot to be the king
Give all you can bring
This chance is your everything

Caged in the spotlight of your mini-verse
A willing victim of beauty’s curse
Blood and diamonds and the winner’s purse
The grifter’s bounty that you coerced

Step into the fight
Don’t give in to your fright
From darkness to light
From morning until the night

Worm Portals

Flower pots with holes drilled in the sides with kitchen scraps
The other side of the garden

The lowest terrace is a worm farm. The 2nd terrace is for herbs.
