Maui dancers placed first and second at the Miss Aloha Hula contest on the first day of Merrie Monarch.
Miss Aloha Hula winner, Manalani Mili Hokoana English, 24-year-old dancer from Waiohuli, Maui. Her Kumu Hula is Napua Greig (formerly Napua Makua after 2nd marriage but after divorce back to Napua Greig because that is her kids’ last name) & Kahulu Maluo of Halau Na Lei Kaumaka O Uka.
